Sharma’s Kaladi Kulcha, one of the best in Jammu

Sharma Eating Point is situated on the RS Pura Road. It was started by Mohan Sharma 18 years ago, first in Gol Market and then was shifted to RS Pura Road. Sharma Eating Point’s main attraction is Kaladi Kulcha and Malai Chaap.

Kaladi is a kind of cheese that is made in the hills of Jammu. Then it is sandwiched between the halves of kulcha and served with chutney. Malai Chaap is rolled chunks of soy sauced with Malai. It is eaten either dry or in gravy form.

Kaladi Kulcha by Sharma is the best that I have eaten till now. It was soft, tasty and two were sufficient for me. And it only costs ₹50.

Mohan and his 2 brothers came from a very moderate background. Having not enough in finances the brothers went into the fast food business. The three musketeers now have their own shops in the line of stalls.

Mohan and his team of two workers run the shop. While Mohan has other responsibilities also, as he is also the Head of the union of stalls, the two workers according to him are sufficient enough for the business. The sale is good and Mohan makes good money.

This area has 97 Stalls separated into 5 zones. All shops are licensed by Municipality. Mohan says the place is best suited as there is enough parking space for everyone to come in. The stalls are open from 4 pm to 10 pm.
